The Canon EOS camerase are excellent for astrophotography but even better results can be achieved if the original IR filter is replaced by a Baader one. These Baader ACF filters are in practice UV/IR filters but transmission is different, as the Baader ones does not block wavelengths around the H-alpha emission line.

The transmission curve can be also checked.

Note that replacing the filter can be done by experienced personnel only. Contact us for further details.
