The optical system used in the PrimoStar1 microscopes are different from the other models. Instead of using the standard 160mm tube length the objective lenses are optimized to infinity, which makes it possible to use a wide range of optical accessories in the light path.

More about the product

The PrimoStar1 microscope optics are different from other microscopes. Instead of using the standard 160mm tube length the objective lenses are optimized to infinity, makeing it possible to use any accessory in the light path.

The objective revolver contains four Plan achromatic objective lenses made by Zeiss. Phase contrast microscopy is possible with the 40x Ph 2.

The illumination used can be full Koehler or fixed Koehler. The fixed Koehler is lower priced and has the advantage that it does not need adjustment for different specimens and different users. For higher requirements the full Koehler version is recommended and it is a must for phase contrast microscopy.

Objective lenses used: 4x (6.5mm, 0.1mm); 10x (4.39mm, 0.25mm); 40x (0.48mm (ph2 can be purchased) 0.65mm); 100x (0.13mm oil, 1.25)

The microscope head can be binocular or trinocular version too.
