More about the product

Extremely compact, motor-driven Azimuthal GoTo mechanics that can be controlled via Wi-Fi on smartphone (or tablets), or even with Goto handcontroller (optional). It is made for small telescope tubes, which can be fitted with a maximum of 5 kg, with a short tube length.

It is motor driven, but can be moved manually as well. Automatic object search (GoTo) can be used with a smartphone (or tablet). The power supply is from 12V, but it can be operated with the built-in battery compartment (runs from 8 pcs AA batteries). Thanks to internal power supply and wifi connection, the mechanism can be operated without any cables, which is extremely comfortable and safe. The included StarAdventurer tripod provides an extremely compact and lightweight set that is ideal for traveling. The head has standard 3/8 "connections, so it can be mounted on other photo tripods as well.

Connecting the telescope is quick and does not require a tool. The mount creates a Wi-Fi network that you can connect to your phone as you normally do. The required SynScan application can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store or Google Play stores. The mount is set up with 1 or 2 star alignment and then the mechanics will automatically be move to the selected objects. There are several extra features available. Excellent cooperation with the SkySafari 5 planetarium program. The product is under development, so later options and other planetary programs will be available.

Two versions are available:

Encoder version (AZ-GTi): Manual movement can be made after star alignment. Built-in encoders are constantly seeing the position of the mount while moving, so you can switch between auto- and manual object search without losing the position.

A követés pontossága jónak tűnik, kézbe véve elég masszív, fémből van, nem nyiklik-nyaklik.

Summary

Nem hátrányként írom, mert nem az, de pontosítom a leírást: Az encoder nélküli (GTe) változaton az azimut tengely kézzel nem mozgatható, nincs is hozzá állító csavar,ami kiengedésével ezt meg lehetne tenni. Tehát nem arról van szó, hogy elveszíti a pozíciót, mert csak SynScan-nal mozgatható egyáltalán. A másik tengelyre ez nem igaz, az mechanikusan is lazítható.

Pros

A háromláb és a mechanika kompakt, könnyű! Az összeszerelése végtelenül egyszerű. Vizuális észleléshez kitelepülni, tökéletes választás, óragépként használva is szépen követi a célt. Mobil eszközről könnyen vezérelhető, betanítható. A go-to is szépen működik. Elemről is működik, ilyenkor a beépített 12v-os csatlakozáson is megjelenik a feszültség amit lehet használni ha bedugunk valamit, pl lámpa, egyéb külső eszköz ami 12-voltos.

Cons

Betanítás és go-to közben elég hangos tud lenni, mikor teljes sebességgel mennek a motorok, amíg rá nem áll a célra, bár ez relatív kinek, mi a hangos? Én csak EQ5 óragép hangjával tudom összehasonlítani, amihez képest hangos, persze sokkal gyorsabb is. Az elemtartó rész nem a legsikeresebb tervezés, mivel egy kábellel kell összekötni az elemtartó rekeszt és a gépet. Ez a kábel meg volt törve, így ha rátettem a fedelet nem kapott áramot az eszköz. Pillanatok alatt javítható, de bosszantó dolog.

Summary

Összegezve, nagyon megérte az eszköz! Az egy apró kábelhibát leszámítva rendben van. A vezérlő applikációt (Synscan) érdemes a gyártó honlapjáról letölteni, mert ott a legfrisebb és ez újabb android rendszereken is fut (nekem android 11), nem kell 3-4 éves eszközökön futtatni. Amire érdemes figyelni, hogy külön kell engedélyezni a helyadatok hozzáférést, ha nem manuálisan adjuk meg a helyzetünket! Aki nem csak go-to-ra akarja használni annak ajánlott egy kézi vezérlő, amin vannak rendes tapintható gombok, így nem kell minden alkalommal a telefonra nézni, ha mozgatni akarjuk valamilyen irányban a távcsövet. A bolt, most is nagyon szuper volt!
