Classic Cassegrain telescopes
Despite of their previous popularity the Cassegrain telescopes are not so familiar today, but the small central obstruction and chromatic aberration-free view make them comparable to some APO refractors

More about the product
Cassegrain telescopes are used since the 17th century. The design makes long focal length and high magnification: ideal for Sun, Moon, planets, planetary nebula and double star observation. No glass corrector plate means no chromatic aberration and fast temperature equalization and resistance to dew formation. Hyperbolic secondary mirror and parabolic primary mirror made of Quartz glass for stable focus position. 99% reflection on primary and secondary mirror for an even brighter image. Despite its long focal length, the optical tube of this telescope is just 437 mm (for 6") and 536 mm (for 8") long, not including the focusers.
There is a 2" dual-speed Crayford focuser at the end of the tube, so image shift is eliminated. The illuminated image field has 40 mm and 45 mm diameter. An additonal correction lens isn´t needed, because the image field is well corrected up to APS-C sensor format.
