SkyWatcher Skymax 127MC NEQ2

This SkyWatcher Skymax 127MC is a 127 mm diameter compact telescope shows much more details than the 90 mm and 102 mm models. The optical quality is very good, and central obstruction is onély 30% resulting in a sharp and contrasty images even at high magnifications. Compared to similar aperture telescopes (eg. Explorer 130) this Maksutov-Cassegrain is much shorter and weights less meaning that it is much easier to transport. The recommended magnification range is 37.5x-250x and provides sharp images on Moon and planets. Dovetail plate is included but there's a standard photo thread as well. The two Barium eyepieces including the package deliver 52x and 130x magnification. A Starpointer and a 31,7 mm star diagonal is included as well. The focuser has a T-thread making it possible to mount cameras too.

The new NEQ2 mount has dovetail system, so putting the telescope on and off is very easy and fast. The steel tripod is more robust than the older aluminium one, so the mount stability has been increased.  A clock drive can also be mounted to the mount, two different versions are available separately. The eyepiece holder between the tripod legs is very practical.
