SkyWatcher Explorer 190MN DS-PRO Maksutov-Newton

This SkyWatcher Explorer 190MN DS-PRO Maksutov-Newton telescope is recommended for both serious visual observers and astrophtotographers. This model has the advantages of Maksutov-Cassegrain and Newton telescopes as well. The optics are very sharp and corrected for large field of view, the scope is ideal for astrophotography with today's high resolution DSLR or CMOS cameras. It is also well suited for high quality visual observing. Light gathering power is F/5.25, there are no diffraction spikes as the secondary mirror is mounted on the back of the correction lens. All surfaces are spherical manufactured with high precision, meaning that the image is sharp and contrasty without color aberration, similar to the image quality of apochromatic refractors. The tube is closed so no dust can pollute the optical surfaces meaning their longer lifetime. The 190 mm telescope can be used for many different purposes. The 1:10 dual speed Crayford focuser also helps a lot for precise focusing.

For visual use an EQ-5 mount, for photographic use HEQ-5 or one of the EQ6 mounts are recommended.
