Astronomik CLS-CCD deepsky fitler (EOS-clip)

These filters for Canon EOS APS-C models provide many advantages. Astrophotography is possible with these filters not only using the telescope, but using standard objective lenses as well. On the other hand these narrowband filters can be used with off-axis guiders as well, as the guide star's brightness is not affected by the filter.

The Astronomik CLS blocks the light of the spectral lines of mercury and sodium-vapor lamps and lets the largest part of the visible light and H-alpha emissions pass. All the important emission lines, as well as the spectral region that the very well dark adapted eye can see, can pass through the filter.

This "CCD" marked model bloks the IR wavelength, so can be used cameras with no IR filter installed to it.

Note: these filters are compatible with all Canon objective lenses except for the EF-S series, where the back lens does not fit into the camera body because of the filter.

The OWB filter can be used to restore the original color sensitivity (white balance) of the camera after the IR blocking filter has been replaced.
