ZWO EFW 5x2 motorized filterwheel 5 positions 2"or 50.4mm filters

The ZWO EFW-5x2 filter wheel offers precise electronic control of filter positioning during astronomical imaging. It’s ideal for use with large-sensor astronomy camera that require 2” filters. It accepts up to five 2” threaded filters or 50.4mm +/- 0.5mm unmounted filters with a cell height that does not exceed 7mm and in which the male thread length does not exceed 3mm.

With a thickness of 20mm, this filter wheel is made of black-anodized aircraft-grade aluminum and uses a whisper-quiet Japanese-made stepper motor to help ensure years of reliable field use. When used with a monochrome astronomy camera, this electronic filter wheel and a set of color or narrowband filters (not included) allow you to capture spectacular color images of astronomical objects. The ZWO 5-position EFW-5x2 filter wheel weighs just 500g so it won't bog down your telescope mount. When connected to ZWO ASI6200 or 2600 cameras, the distance from the filter to the sensor is about 18mm.

The bi-directional electronic filter wheel is powered and controlled through the USB port on your camera or directly via a USB cable connected to your computer, so you don't need any extra power supplies to power the wheel. A USB2.0 cable is included. With ASCOM and SDK control modes, the wheel can be controlled with a wide range of standard astronomy and imaging software. The maximum power supply of this EFW is approximately 120mAh @ 5V which can be delivered from a cooled ZWO camera’s USB2.0 port (camera sold separately).

The EFW mini is the smallest and most lightweight 1.25″ Electronic Filter Wheel in the world! Handles 5x1,25" or 31mm (unmounted) filters. Weights 300g only. Thickness is 20 mm.

Only one USB Cable is enough to power up the EFW, the max power consumption is around 120mA@5V, so you can powered it through the USB port. 

The Electronic Filter wheel can be rotated in both counter clockwise or clockwise direction for filter selection.

The distance between the filter and sensor is only around 10mm when you connect it to ASI1600. So 1.25″ filters won’t have vignetting up to F5 focal ratio scope and 31mm filter won’t have vignetting up to F2 lens

The big EFW has two specifications: 8x31mm and 7x36mm. Thickness is still 20 mm.

- 1.25″ filter requires: threads length shorter than 3mm, height without threads less than 7mm
- 31mm filter requires: a set of M42 screws and washers needed to fix the filters are included in the package .

Software:
you just need to plugin the EFW with USB2.0 cable and install the   ASCOM driver . There are  ZWO Filter Wheel(1) and ZWO Filter Wheel(2) to select. Yyou can use either one of them. There are 2 ASCOM is for controling 2 EFW in one software.
