SkyWatcher Explorer-200PDS (200/1000) Newtonian reflector OTA with Dual-Speed focuser (1:10) on EQ5 goto mount

The SkyWatcher Explorer 200PDS Newton reflector can be a lifetime telescope for an amateur astronomer. The tube lenght is just 1 meters and weights less than 10kg and is a very versatile telescope. Visually stars down to magnitude 14 can be seen and details can be observed in galaxies and nebulae. Excellent for lunar and planetary observations as well, and can be used for observing double stars as well.

Can be used for astrophotography thanks to the 2" Dual-speed Crayford focuser. The fast F/5 optics is useful for deepsky photography as well while the 1000mm focal length shows details in galaxies and nebulae. The 2" focuser can accept other accessories (like coma corrector).

The mirrors can be adjusted without any tools quickly and simply (a collimation laser or collimating eyepiece is recommended).

The EQ5 GoTo mount is a solid platform for the telescope, providing excellent stability. This version is sold with the newest SyScan GoTo hand controller which does not need any computer to be attached. The hand controller contains a database with over 42900 objects, including all Messier, NGC, IC objects and other deepsky catalogues, plus a catalogue of double and variable stars. After aligning the mount properly it can find the selected object within seconds.
