The 150/750 Newtonian telescope has large, 15cm diameter main mirror, which allows to observe a wide range of objects including faint deepsky objects. Its F/5 main mirror makes the telescope a very versatile one. Te two aspheric eyepieces in the package gives 32x and 75x magnification with wide 62 degree field. Magnification range can be push up to to 250x with optional eyepieces. It means that both deep sky objects and small details on the lunar surface can be observed with this scope.

The patented Freedom Find (dual-encoder) technology allows the telescope to be moved manually whenever the user wishes - but with no need for re-alignment!”
The very same SynScan Version 4 hand controller is used on the Star Discovery mount. The SynScan Version 4 handset can drive the Sky Discovery mount to any object selected from its huge 42000+ object database, including objects from Messier, IC, NGC and Caldwell catalogs, the planets, named stars, double stars, variable stars and even user-defined objects like new comets.
The Star Discovery mount includes digital encoders and the patented “Freedom Find TM” technology like the big Sky-Watcher EQ8 mount. After moving to a new object the
telescope will automatically begin to track the new object accurately. No re-setup is required in one observing session.

All StarDiscovery mount has a buil-in Wi-Fi unit, but there is an option to use with handcontroller (HC) With the WiFi connection you can control your telescope via smartphone or tablet. Just download the free App (Android or iOS) - it is ready to use. For some people the handcontroller version is easier to use, mainly during cold weather.
For old StarDiscovery mounts the Skywatcher Wi-Fi unit (SynScanWifi), can be purchased later separately also, then just plug the Wi-Fi unit into the hand controller slot and it is ready to use.

Pros

Nagyon jó kis távcső . Teljesen meg vagyok vele elégedve. Fókuszáláskor sem remeg, stabilan áll. Kezelése egyszerű. Hálózati adapterről működtetem.

Összességében számomra tökéletes, könnyű kis távcső. Örülök, hogy nem a nehezebb mechanikán lévőt vettem meg. Külön köszönet a bolt dolgozóinak a sok segítségért amit kaptam.

After a few weeks, months of usage

Pros

Könnyű tubus, stabil állvány, tiszta kép.

Cons

A wifi-s változat telefonról vezérelhető. A program nem rossz, de azért fizikai gombok nélkül finom-hangolni a pozíciót úgy, hogy nem akarom levenni a szemem az okulárról, no az nem megy. Nyolc AA-s elem mozgatja a motort hálózati adapter híján, de kb. 30 perc alatt lezabálja. Egyfelől ez költséges, másfelől ha ez valós fogyasztás és nem eseti hiba, akkor ezzel egy tisztességes "semmi közepén" követős megfigyelés nem teljesíthető.

Ha nem gond, nem értékelem részleteiben, mert ez az első távcsövünk, semmilyen viszonyítási alapunk nincsen, fogalmam sincs, milyen a jobb, milyen a rosszabb. Amiről van, az az, hogy elképesztően addiktív, ahogy az ember elvben ugyanazokat az apró fényes pöttyöket bámulja egy csövön keresztül, mint akár szabad szemmel. Persze, persze, nem ugyanaz meg ugyanannyi, de elvileg pötty az pötty. És mégis! Klasszikus kapudrog a javából! Arról már nem is beszélve, hogy amikor az ember először néz rá a legobligátabb dologra, a Holdra, önkéntelenül elkezd vigyorogni és "aszta"-zni, hiába látta már ezer fotón. De látni, szinte érezni a domborzatát, érzékelni, hogy milyen gyorsan forog a Föld, hogy a befogott Hold (nagyítástól függően) egy perc alatt akár eltűnik a látómezőből, no ez azért megdöbbentő. Az ember szinte várja, hogy hirtelen meglássa a kitűzött amerikai zászlót! :) A lényeg az, hogy első távcsövünk és nem bántuk meg, nem éreztük eddig egy percre sem, hogy azért ennyit nem kellett volna erre elkölteni. Tudom, hogy ez egy belépőszint árban és minőségben is, de ennek alapján azt merem mondani, nem okozott csalódást. És persze imádott nőm már adott egy listát, hogy milyen kiegészítőkre lesz szükség. Mondtam, hogy kapudrog....
