The SkyWatcher Explorer 150P 150/750 Newtonian telescope provides 33% more light than the 130/650 model. The F/5 main mirror makes the telescope a very versatile one. Magnification range is from 25x up to 250x, meaning that both deep sky objects and small details on the lunar surface can be observed. The tube length is 70cm, and is easy to transport. The finderscope is an achromatic 6x30 SpringLoad unit, high quality and very easy to use. Two eyepieces are included, a Barium 10 and 25mm ones delivering 30x and 75x magnification. The scope features a 2" Crayford focuser making the telescope capable of astrophotography as well.

The basic set includes the EQ-3 mount which is sturdy enough sill lightweight. It can be equipped with many accessories, including clock drive, GoTo kit, polarscope. A piggyback adaptor makes it possible to take guided astrophotos.

For the GoTo version we highly recommend the Skywatcher Wi-Fi unit (SynScanWifi), with which you can control your telescope via smartphone or tablet. Just plug the Wi-Fi unit into the hand controller slot and download the free App (Android or iOS) - it is ready to use.

Pros

Nem nagy tapasztalattal én kellően jónak mondhatom. Sok élményt nyújt.

Cons

Az elöző 127/1000 mm res gömbtükrös Newton tubus hoz képest kicsit többet reméltem. De ahogy említettem nincs nagy tapasztalatom.

Summary

Nagyon örülök hogy megvásároltam és pár évig biztos megtartom. Kezdő amatőr szinten nagyon jó.

Pros

Good mechanical quality, especially focuser. Although it has no 1:10 reducer, it is easy to focus. Easy to adjust, collimate and manage all telescope aspects. Good for beginners as I was. Now, after more than 3 months of use, already thinking about buying bigger one.

Cons

You will get NOTHING that is listed above, as is Barlow lens, mount, even no single eyepiece. No finder scope. Just got tube and two 2" adapters, one short, one long. Not the best optical quality - by back illuminating, one can see pitting spots on the surface of the mirror. Picture is not the sharpest one when camera is mounted.

Summary

Only for totally beginners. Just to get sense of what universe looks like. It may be used for photography, but not the best results. Tried to get Jupiter, Saturn and Mars, but pictures are not that great. Took me three months to realize that mirror is cheap one - true and good mirror for 150/750 can cost as much as €400. Okay, it is for beginning observing things. It has no great magnification for planetary observation, but with buying additional x3 and x2 Barlow lens + some good eyepiece, then maybe. Just maybe, because no matter what I am trying, there are poor details on Jupiter. Our Moon is okay, there are plenty of details, but not too sharp. Focuser is surprisingly good.
