SkyWatcher Skymax-102 Maksutov-Cassegrain (102/1300) on EQ2 mount

This SkyWatcher Skymax 102MC telescope is a 102mm aperture compact telescope showing more details than the 90mm model. The central obstruction is 30% only resulting in contrasty image even at high magnification. Compared to Mira 102 model the aperture is similar but this Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is much shorter and weights less meaning that it is easier to transport, however the central obstruction makes the image a bit less contrasty. The recommended magnification range is 32-200x and shows excellent details on Moon or planets, and can be used to observe brighter deepsky objects as well. The scope has a standard photo thread and can be mounted on any tripod with an Amici-prism. Two Barium eyepieces are included (52x and 130x). An achromatic 6x30 spring load finderscope is also included. The focuser has a T-thread so mounting cameras is also possible.

EQ2 version: The EQ2 mount can be equipped with clock drive as well.

The telescope can be purchased with AZ GoTo mount as well.
