Skyliner-400P Skywatcher GOTO Dobsonian upgrade kit

In the case of manual Dobsonian Sky-Watcher Newton-telescopes, by purchasing the Upgrade Kit, we have the opportunity to upgrade our telescope, which will not only be suitable for tracking, but will also have all the convenience of automatic object search (GoTo movement).

The GoTo Dobson mechanism operates from 12V, for which a cigarette lighter connection cable is supplied by the manufacturer, but it can also be operated from many other (optional) energy sources, e.g. 12V gel battery, PowerTank, 12V mains adapter, etc.

 This dobsonian mount from Sky-Watcher not only tracks the objects in the sky but can be used as a fully GoTo-capable mount. The dobsonian mount can be used with almost all Sky-Watcher dobsonians.

Available in many sizes from 200mm to 400mm. Other telescopes (including home made ones) can be also used, but it might require some modifications to be done by the owner.

For the GoTo version we highly recommend the Skywatcher Wi-Fi unit (SynScanWifi), with which you can control your telescope via smartphone or tablet. Just plug the Wi-Fi unit into the hand controller slot and download the free App (Android or iOS) - it is ready to use.
