As our Earth rotates, celestial objects move away from the field of view. A clock drive is needed to avoid this, which means that the fine details can be obsered. When showing the celestial wonders to friends it is essential. To image Moon or planets a clock drive is a must.

Stepper motor version

- always tracks at the correct speed, as the motor speed does not depend on the voltage
- the hand controller provides 2x or 8x motion on right ascension axis

Requires 6V DC (battery holder included).

Note that to ensure accurate tracking the mount needs to be polar aligned.

Pros

Rather rugged mechanical quality. Precision and accuracy are suitable for astrophotography.

Cons

LED indicator is green and way too bright, so it ruins night vision, but it can be solved by covering it with a piece of dark tape. Slight nuisance at best.

Summary

If you want a calm observing session, planetary photography with less frustration or any kind of DSO photography, you have to buy at least a rectascension motor and a polarscope. This motor does its job well.

Különösebb tudást nem igényel, könnyen felszerelhető.

Cons

Ha nem rögzítsük megfelelően gépet az RA tengely kiálló csavarjához üresben jár vagy ki ki hagy. Erre ügyeljünk oda! Valamint kicsit zavaróak lehetnek kábelek.

Summary

Nagyobb nagyításoknál már nélkülözhetetlen tartozéka a távcsőnek, hogy teljesé tegye az észlelést és ne azzal keljen foglalkozni h látómezőben tartsuk az objektumot. Nem csak fotózáskor érdemes használni!

Egyszerűen szerelhető és kezelhető, könnyű, biztos a működése, és lényegesen olcsóbb, mint a kéttengelyes.

Pros

Nagyon nagy segítség ha nem kell mindig beállítanunk a mechanikát mert a gép elvégzi helyettünk.Én egy 102/1300-as Makszutovhoz használom nagy megelégedettséggel. Nyugodtan nézelődhetünk,nem kell aggódni,hogy eltűnik az objektum. A kis látómezővel rendelkező okulárok is könnyebben használhatók vele. Ha sikerült lencsevégre kapni a Jupitert az ott is marad.
