These neutral density filters are recommended to reduce moonlight. The following models are available:
ND0.3 50%
ND0.6 25%
ND0.9 13%

Up to 10cm aperture the ND0.3 or ND0.6 is recommended, while for larger scope the ND0.6 or ND0.9, and from 20cm the ND0.9. Choosing the proper filter depends on individual needs as well.

For achromatic refractors the moon filter is recommended which not only reduces the amount of light but somewhat correct the color aberration as well, increasing contrast.

Note that two polarising filters can be used as a variable transmission neutral density filter.

The CristalView filter fits to 2" eyepieces, reduces the light and removes the yellowish tint. Recommended in hazy conditions or when the Moon is close to the horizon.

Summary

Sokat segít a Hold vizuális feltérképezésében, főleg telihold idején. Kíméli a szemet. Első teszt után vehettem volna a 0.9-t, mert még ez is sok fényt enged át, de ez nem a termék hibája. E szűrő nélkül, alig lehet a Hold felszínét felfedezni. Aki az égi kísérőnket szeretné megtekinteni, annak feltétlenül be kell szereznie ezt a szűrőt. Nagyon hasznos.

Summary

200/1200 Newton távcsőhöz vásároltam. 20 cm objektív átmérőig ajánlják az ND0,6-ost 25 % fényáteresztéssel, de úgy érzem a Holdat észlelgetve a szűrőn keresztül is eléggé vakít. Határeset, lehet, hogy az ND0,9-es típussal jobban jártam volna.

Summary

Nagyon megkönnyíti a Hold észlelését és a kevesebb fény miatt nem nyomódnak el bizonyos részletek. Fél éve használom és nagyon elégedett vagyok vele, cask ajánlani tudom.

Pros

Nagyon jól csökkenti az erős holdfényt, egy 127/1000-es refraktorhoz pont jó. (Nagyobb csőhöz erősebb szűrőt érdemes venni, mert a 25cm-es newtonban már kevés, ahhoz talán az 50% kell.)
