5,1MP MicroQ digital microscope eyepiece (SONY IMX335)
Sony IMX sensor
New electronics
There's a sensational idea in the completely redesigned electronics that allows fast image transfer in high resolution despite USB2.0: the raw image data is not simply transmitted as with other microscope cameras, but pre-compressed in the camera housing, processed by ToupView software, and finally decompressed again by the computer. This avoids the "bottleneck" of USB2.0 and achieves significantly better image speeds! Package includes: digital eyepiece, USB2.0 cable, CD Rom with drivers and ToupView software.
Even the 5.1 megapixel camera has about 2.5 times the resolution of Full HDMI, and the 8.3 and 12 MP versions offer even more detail. The Sony IMX sensor is well known from astronomy applications where light is really scarce. The high light sensitivity allows shorter exposure times and therefore significantly faster frame rates. The image no longer jitters, even when you're shooting video or just trying to move the slide on the microscope, you always get a real-time image.

More about the product
Sony IMX335 sensor
The sensor is 5.1 megapixels (that's about 2.5x higher resolution than Full HDMI is!) or 8.3 or 12 MP. It is well known from astronomical applications where really little light is available. The high sensitivity enables shorter exposure times and thus a significantly faster frame rate. The image no longer jerks, even if you record video or just want to move the microscope's stage, but is displayed in real time.
On-board electronics
There is a sensational idea in the completely redesigned board electronics, which enables fast image transmission in high resolution despite USB2.0: The raw image data is not simply transmitted as with other microscope cameras, but is pre-compressed in the camera housing and processed by the ToupView software the computer unzipped again. In this way the "bottleneck USB2.0" is avoided and a multiple frame rate can be achieved!
