The Baader Hyperioneyepieces are very good ones from many point of view. The 68 degrees of field and long eye relief (20mm) make them easy to use and provide excellent images. The phase coating provide excellent light transmission, true colors and first class contrast without any ghost images. These eyepieces contain 8 lenses.

The eyepieces can be used both in 1.25" or 2" focusers (31mm and 36mm models only for 2"). Modular rings are available which can be used to change the focal lengths. The eyepieces provide an M43x0.75 thread as well.

Pros

A nagy kiterjedésű diffúz ködök tervezett vizuális észlelése miatt hasonlítottam össze egy kölcsönben nálam levő 36 mm-es Baader Hyperion (72 fok), és egy 38 mm-es Skywatcher PanaView (70 fok) okulárt. Ezekkel a 2"-os okulárokkal a William Optics 80/545-ös távcsövemben közel 5 fok látómezőt lehet elérni. Mindkét okulár tetszetős, kitűnő mechanikai kidolgozású termék, a PanaView szemkagylója állítható. A Baader óriási előnye, hogy társához képest meglepően kisebb és könnyebb, nem terheli meg annyira a távcső kihuzatát. A távcsőbe tekintve mindkét okulár szinte megegyező képet mutat: középen szép tűéles, igen élvezetes a csillagok látványa, a szélek felé haladva a csillagok torzulnak, ennek mértéke számomra elfogadható. Az okulárokkal elérhető határfényesség is gyakorlatilag megegyezik. A tesztelést holdfényben, nyílthalmazokon végeztem. Egy idő után kisebb mérete miatt már csak a Baader okulárt használtam, ezzel megtekintve az Ikerhalmazt érezni lehetett azt a bizonyos űrséta érzést. Véleményem szerint f/6-f/8 távcsöveknél mindkét okulár jól használható, f/4-f/5-ős műszereknél már zavaró lehet a csillagok torzulásának mértéke.
