Belt drive for HEQ5

The belt upgrade kit for HEQ5 Pro mounts replaces the factory gears with a timing belt wheel transmission, which results in smoother tracking, less backlash and faster response during autoguiding. Last but not least the sound of the mounts will be quite different, during fast moving the rattle-rattle sound is completely eliminated. Highly recommended for serious astrophotographers!

The HEQ5 set includes two pairs of special gears, two timing belts and an additional plastic spacer for the motor cover. After the mod the original SkyWatcher GoTo electronics can be use.

Attention!

Installation is not an easy task, but can be made at home with some experience and skill. Assembling the kit needs to make some small modifications to the mount as well. Therefore we strongly recommend doing the modification with a sophisticated specialist.
Please note that with home modification the original warranty of the mount will be lost.
