Pros

Mild attenuation of lower wavelengths of light. Applicable even to smaller telescopes. Solid construction.

None of importance.

Summary

If you want complete of near complete removal of lower wavelenghts, and your equipment has at least 120 mm of aperture, get #38a for comfortable viewing. #80a is for smaller apertures and mild contrast enhancement, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's not enough. It's one of the most universal filters you can get, useful for many planetary objects.
