These filters transmit light only around the O-III wavelength. Recommended for supernova remnants and planetary nebulae but perform well on emission nebulae as well. In contrary to UHC filters these are not general-purpose deepsky filters. Perform well both visually and photographically.

The image below shows the transmission of different models. The best filter is the one where the transmission band is the narrowest, as this provest the highest contrast.

Pros

Jellemzően a fényszennyezés csökkentésével és a kontraszt növelésével érhető el javulás, ebben ez a szűrő nagyon jó. Érdekes, hogy nem minden objektumnál javít az összképen, de ahol igen, ott viszont jelentős a javulás. Pl Gyűrűs köd Lehet próbálgatni különböző ködöknél, szupernóva maradványokat lehet tanulmányozni , fotózni vele. Ennyi pénzért simán megéri

Summary

Ha valaki fotózáshoz veszi, ideális választás,az Uhc szűrő használatát kiegészíti, vizuálisan 2" okulárokhoz jó.

Results of the first test

Pros

Első tesztre abszolút elégedett vagyok vele, hozta amit vártam, és még többet is. Gyönyörűek a planetárisok és a Sagitarius ködei vele, de az igazi élmény a 120/600-as RFT-ben egy 32-es okulárral a 4°-os látómezőben a Fátyol köd illetve az Észak-Amerika köd látványa.
