These sets not only provide clock drive but also can move the declination axis. After centering an object in the eyepiece it is very convinient to use the hand controller only to track the object or move the telescope slightly, for example when observing the Moon at high magnification. The dual axis drive also helps to keep an object centered while capturing lunar or planetary images.

The hand controller provides 2x, 8x and 16x speeds. Use 2x for fine tuning during photography and higher speeds to find/center objects. Mounting the kit is extremely simple. Requires 6V DC (battary holder included).

Note that to achieve proper tracking the mount needs to be polar aligned. A polarscope might help a lot to do it.

Pros

Kényelmes, nem kell tekergetni, ezzel elvégezhető a finomhangolás. Sokáig bírja a 4 góliátelem, ez pozitív nagyon.

Cons

Lassú, de nagyon, ami idegesítő tud lenni. A vezetékek mindig útban vannak, főleg egy kicsavart helyzetben lévő tubust vissza állítunk, majd egy más helyzetbe áthelyezünk, a vezetékek tuti össze keverednek és az kellemetlen

Summary

Abban az esetben jó, ha nagy a távcső és beremeg amikor apró mozdulatokat kell csinálni, ezzel kivédhető, mert finoman mozgatja a mechanikát, így nem remeg a kép. Mellette az óramű tökéletesen ás állandóan működik, tehát teszi a dolgát, amiért használjuk. Kicsit drága, az árához képest, de megéri beruházni rá. Ja, egy másik hibája, hogy nem lehet megkülönböztetni a két tengelyt, hiányzik valami féle jelző arra hogy melyik gomb melyik tengelyt vezérli...
