Delta DLT-Cam Basic 2 MP USB 2.0 digital microscope eyepiece

The Delta Optical DLT-Cam Basic color microscope camera has a 2-megapixel sensor and works on the principle of a digital eyepiece, which replaces the standard eyepiece on a microscope. It comes with Delta Optical DLTCamViewer software in full Polish language version.

The use of a digital camera in conjunction with the microscope and computer, via a USB 2.0 interface, gives the user the ability to obtain a live view of the microscope image on the computer screen, and also allows the demonstration of microscope slides to a larger group of listeners in various remote areas of the room - via a large screen, multimedia projector or interactive whiteboard. With the camera, the user can also easily save photos and videos of the image seen through the microscope, as well as use the measurement functions (after prior calibration).

Mounting the camera involves sliding it into the eyepiece tube of the microscope, after first pulling out the eyepiece. The camera fits eyepiece tubes with an inner diameter of 23.2 mm, which are found in most biological microscopes (mounting in trinocular cap tubes can also be carried out). On the other hand, in the tubes of stereoscopic microscopes (e.g., the Delta Optical Discovery series), the camera can be mounted via a 30.5 mm adapter-tube. It is important to know that Basic series cameras, which do not have a dedicated optical adapter, give a much smaller field of view than Pro series cameras. Depending on the microscope, they can show up to approx. 30% of the field of view seen with eyepieces.
