150/1200 SkyWatcher Evostar-150ED DS-PRO Apochromatic refractor

An unobstructed objective gives the sharpest view of the sky's wonders, but the chromatic aberration that is found in simple refractors makes the view in highest magnification not so sharp. The Skywatcher's high-end Evostar-150ED Apo doublet features an undisclosed combination of one Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass element and a matched crown element.

This telescope is ideal for urban observatories, perfect for the planets, up to magnification of 3-400x (depending the astronomical seeing). However it gets great image about brighter deepsky objects like star clusters, and bright galaxises from dark locations. From uban sites it is also available to see star clusters and compact planetary nebulae. It is also perfect for double star lovers because its resolution limit is 0,77 arcseconds.

Naturally this telescope is very good for astrophotography, main targets are the compact objects like smaller open clusters, globulars, galaxies, and planetary nebulae. There will be an 0,85x corrector/reducer available soon.

Each air-to-glass objective lens surface has exotic anti-reflection metallic coatings applied, to ensure optimum light throughput of approaching 99.5%.
