This 5x Barlow-lens differs from the standard ones providing better image quality. Compression ring on eyepiece side and nut on focuser side is provided.

Barlows are used when magnification needs to be increased even further, meaning that the quality of these elements is critical. Using a lower quality Barlow lens degrades image quailty drastically. Using a Barlow lens and a longer focal length eyepiece similar magnification can be used as with an eyepiece with shorter focal length, smaller lenses. Barlow lenses are placed between the eyepiece and the objective lens or mirror. Barlow lenses are available in 31,7mm or 50,8mm sizes. All lens elements in the light path has its effect on the quality but a high quality Barlow lens can be used unnoticed. Barlow lenses can be used to make many more magnifications possible without purchasing additional eyepieces.

Pros

If you carefully pick the optical elements and don't exceed the limitations of your telescope, results will be more than decent. It holds the oculars and other equipment tightly with its ring system. Build quality is excellent.

Summary

Excellent price and very applicable for planetary astrophotography. At nights with great seeing, lunar observations are of high quality.

Gyűrűs befogatás.

Cons

Nálam nagyon nagy fokú a fényveszteség. Borzasztóan nehéz a fókuszálás, még mikrofókusszal is.

Summary

Azt hiszem túllöttem a célon, amikor egy 150/750 Newton-hoz választottam bolygó és Hold megfigyeléshez ezt a lencsét (5x). Ekkora fókusznyújtás mellett az optikai minőség igencsak leromlik. Annyira, hogy gyakorlatilag elő sem veszem.
